Hey! It’s been a while. So I’m going to start posting a bunch of 2023 content, and this wedding is an excellent one to begin by blogging spree.
This wedding was such a pleasant surprise for me. It was to be a simple and intimate ceremony and dinner at an elegant and classy new spot in Kingston - Heist Restaurant + Wine Bar. Heather from Bowtied With Love recommended me to the couple and we had a great meeting. I could feel the love and emotion surrounding the wedding but wasn’t quite expecting the magic we’d create during the portrait session. We had a beautiful day in downtown Kingston, and after an amazing first look in Market Square, we started to explore the area. They were so deeply in love, romantic and passionate. I just put them in spots.
The ceremony was intimate and sweet. There are some excellent photos of them engaging each other (very important tip - engage each other and not the officiant), and a very cute moment with Michelle’s grandson.
The cocktails were flowing after the ceremony and the dinner was spectacular. They twisted my arm to hang around by forcing me to eat an amazing meal and drink some wine. Even though I was technically off the clock, I captured some of outstanding images of the emotional speeches and probably my favourite photo of the couple - sitting at the head table, full of food and wine, and madly in love surrounded my their best people.
Definitely an excellent way to start my 2023 wedding season.
