Intimate Bed and Breakfast Wedding // Kingston, Ontario

I had just launched my website and had barely marketed myself when I received an inquiry from Kelly. At this point I had a (pretty awesome) website and a small portfolio. She found me through an Instagram hashtag (#content) and really loved my website design. I put a TON of time into this beauty so that made me feel pretty damn good. Long story short. Kelly and Shawn took a chance on me. When I delivered this gallery this is what I received:

“Joooosssshhhhhh… Staaaaapp. I’m crying. These are so unbelievably good. Thank you isn’t enough. I am kind of confused as to how you could have been in so many places and got so many angles as just one person… My brain can’t comprehend it. You are amazing. We are so thrilled that you agreed to work with us and captured our day in a way that was so “us”. Thank you a million times…

…You also made Shawn cry. Which is very tough to do. We can’t stop watching the slideshow either (perfect song choices btw).”

The wedding was on a perfectly sunny but cool September day. Kelly and Shawn were fun, easy going, and stress free. They had the wedding that THEY wanted and it was a day they will cherish forever. The ceremony was held overlooking the narrows of Odessa Lake, just outside of Kingston, Ontario. Kelly & Shawn decided not to do a first look so he was in awe as she walked down the rock stairs to the ceremony area. Beer and Mojitos followed the ceremony and everyone enjoyed the vegan snacks and lawn games as we headed out for some portraits. Dinner was served during an incredible late summer sunset and the night ended with a bonfire up on the limestone patio. *chef’s finger kiss*

Heather and Michael from Bowtie Services did an incredible job organizing the day at the very intimate and beautiful Daisy Hill Bed & Breakfast. I’m not a vegan but if Knifey Spooney catered my life I probably could be. Videographer Jon from Joviss Visuals and I quickly bonded over Fujifilm cameras and had a blast working together.
