Kingston Mills Lockstation // Kingston // OntariO

This may be some of my finest work. I was only with Sterling and Danick for 3 hours and they almost didn’t even hire a photographer. I think we agreed to work with each other only a few weeks prior to the wedding. Anyways, after a brief rain delay, the ceremony proceed outdoors on the Rideau Canal at Kingston Mills under PERFECT lighting conditions, and at PEAK autumn colours in South Eastern Ontario.

I have a style and process when photographing weddings/couples/families/events. I broadly know the types of photos I’m looking to create and how to structure the gallery. And when I’m editing, I have a style that I have tweaked over the years and have become very happy with. With that said, I always lean into the vibe and personality of the people I’m working with to enrich their gallery and stretch my creative muscles. Sterling and Danick, for example, love vintage, dramatic, and romantic imagery and let me know that when we first met. I also love those things and knew to lean into in during the wedding. Because we were on the same page, they were excited to get a little weird, and go along with some of my ideas during the portrait session. More drama, lots of black and whites, some film (that I mostly screwed up), and steamy romance.

Got it. Here is the result.
