Italo-Canadian Club Halloween Wedding // Kingston, Ontario

A Halloween wedding blog post just in time for Christmas! A Pre-COVID one too! It’s a little surreal reliving a time when people touched and sweated on each other at social gatherings. I’m really looking forward to those days returning (and they will).

This wedding was one of my all-time favourites. Jenn and Sean are wonderful people with loving families and a solid group of friends. They split their wedding into two nights. The first evening was a ceremony for close friends and family at a local AirBnB, along the shores of Lake Ontario. It was a cold and windy day, but certainly warm and cozy inside. The following evening was an epic Halloween celebration at the Italo-Canadian Club with a much larger group of friends and family. I very rarely post detail photos from weddings (prefer photos of people and moments) but it would be an injustice not to sneak a few in here. The Halloween-themed details were incredible. From the centrepieces to the seating chart. From the costumes to the candy table. Honestly, kudos to everyone involved. It was really special. Halloween (and autumn) are just the best. And Jenn and Sean hosted an epic Halloween party.

Not lost among the Halloween attire and decoration was the absolute love and support Jenn and Sean had from their family and friends. Both evenings were filled with so much love and happiness. Their mic skills are top notch and they both had funny and thoughtful speeches and introductions for all of their VIPs. The speeches by family and friends were just as good. Everyone was smiling, laughing, and having a great time. Definitely a highlight for me.

Words of Wisdom

I’m all about themed weddings and weddings with that DIY vibe. The most important advice I can give to couples planning a wedding is to make it yours. You do you. Do what you want to do and plan the party that you want to have. This is a defining moment in your life and a chance to really celebrate your life and your love. Take advice. Listen to the needs of your family. But make the moment yours. It will be all the more enjoyable because of it.

This blog-post was a long time coming. I wanted to update my website prior to catching up on my blogging. So expect more in the coming months.
