Summer Wedding at Fort Henry in Kingston

In 2024, I shot 6 wedding at Fort Henry. All were excellent. When I shoot at the same venue multiple times a wedding season I’m always trying to lean into the things that make the couple unique, or define their vibe and their life and love. If they are fun and outgoing, then I try to focus the gallery on interaction and the party. If they are romantic and a little more introverted, I like to explore the Fort a little more and shoot for more depth in the portrait section (time permitting). And I’m always trying to see the light and the space slightly differently every time. There are photos that are ‘must shoots,’ but there is always a new spot or a new composition in the same spots. Sometimes weather changes the plan and we need to really explore to stay dry or stay out of the wind. Fort Henry and the Great Hall certainly can get rainy and windy. But the venue also offers some incredible spots to get cuddled up and stay dry.

Sarah and Andrew were fun and outgoing so their connection points between each other and their people are my favourite photos from the gallery. I had an absolute blast hanging out with them and seeing how happy they were. It was super bright and sunny so we found pockets of shade within Fort Henry to create some wonderful portraits.

Here are my highlights. :)
